Volunteers are vital to the daily operations at the Food Bank. They help to sort donations, label items, assemble weekend food bags for the Food 4 Kids Program, personally shop for clients in our food pantry, and so much more. No matter your experience or skillset we want your help! In northern Indiana, 12.3% of people are food insecure. They are friends, coworkers, family members, and children in our community. Volunteers are needed year-round to meet the needs of those most vulnerable in our community. Lead by example and come volunteer with us! Volunteer opportunities are available Monday- Friday from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. The Community Food Pantry of St. Joseph County is located within the Food Bank, and provides volunteer opportunities Mondays and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. We have a critical need for volunteers on Fridays.
