Women Build provides the opportunity for women to combat housing insecurity by helping to build affordable homes for working families in need of a hand up. Anyone who wants to learn how to build and construct a home is invited to join us, and no experience is necessary. It is a full day, 8am-3pm, commitment with plenty of skill learning and work to be done!

About Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity

Location:

528 Essex Road, WILLISTON, VT 05495, US

Mission Statement

At Habitat for Humanity, we build. We build because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. More than building homes, we build communities, we build hope and we build the opportunity for families to help themselves.

Description

Green Mountain Habitat has built 80 homes for families in Chittenden County since 1984. In partnership with Franklin-Grand Isle Habitat, our chapters serve the entire northwest corner of Vermont from the Canadian border in the North, to the Mount Mansfield valley in the East, to the Lake Champlain Islands to the West.

The Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in our local community.
