The mission of the National LGBTQ Society is to create a safe space and safe environment for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies through our purpose of providing meaningful support, resourceful resources, and education.

This position will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations

The Chapter Coordinator position is a new position within our organization. The purpose of this position is to establish Chapter’s in all 50 states of the United States. The person in this position will serve as the primary point of contact for the Chapter in the particular state. The person will serve as a brand ambassador, and will be on the forefront of supporting and promoting our organization and the cause of our organization and their chapter.

The ideal person for this position would be someone who has connections to local organizations, and resources who can provide resources for LGBTQIA+ and Allied individuals. The person in this role will be responsible for creating partnerships within their local/municipal/county/state organizations. This person will also be responsible for developing their own leadership team and leading that team and chapter to success.

Ideal Requirements and Experience:

  1. Executive Leadership Experience

  2. Developing and Leading Teams

  3. Developing Chapter Organizations

  4. Maintaining and Developing new and existing local partnerships

  5. Promoting the Cause

  6. Being dependable and a team player

  7. Recruiting Experience or be willing to learn how to recruit.

This person must reside in the state in which they would like to serve as State Chapter Coordinator.
