Community Hospice

Our mission is to honor life by providing Peace, Hope and Compassion to those we serve.

Pet Peace of Mind Program

The Columbiana County Team of Community Hospice is currently searching outgoing, friendly people and pets interested in providing social and emotional support for our patients and their fur families through our Pet Peace of Mind Program. For many in hospice care, a decline in physical condition impacts a patient’s ability to enjoy socializing and maintaining human relationships over time. Pets often fill that relational void as they offer unconditional love, acceptance, comfort and companionship at a time when it’s needed most. A groundbreaking national program, Pet Peace of Mind, enables hospice patients to keep their pets at home throughout their end of life journey

We’re looking for volunteers to assist with:

Pet walking/exercise/playing

Transportation to vet or groomers

Assistance with pet food

Creation of Pet Gift Boxes

Registered Therapy Animals

Donations of special services such as grooming or boarding if needed

Community Hospice volunteers are an essential part of the hospice team. Our trained volunteers provide much needed support serving our patients and families wherever they are in their journey.
