Join Sierra Club WA's Public Lands Team to find your environmental community and make a difference in protecting our local environment!
We're a group of Sierra Club volunteers who work to ensure that our public lands are inclusive, protected, and stewarded for generations to come. Join us on the third Wednesday of every month, 6-7pm, for our virtual meetings as we take collective actions to advocate for our public lands and support different Sierra Club campaigns focused on protecting lands, water, and wildlife.
Some of the things we use this time for:
- Write Letters to the Editor (LTE) in support for different campaigns
- Host phone or text banks
- Prepare for upcoming hearings or lobby meetings
- Draft public comments
- Provide input on campaign plans
- Call legislators
We know that sometimes it can be hard to find the time to do important actions, or can be intimidating to do by yourself --- so join us as we learn and take action together!
In addition to our collective action calls, we also host monthly outings to meet and connect in person outside. Generally happening on the first weekend of the month, our outings vary but have included urban hikes, overnight camping trips, service days, fish hatchery tours, and more!
Sign up for our next outing or collective action call at our calendar: https://www.sierraclub.org/washington/calendar

The Sierra Club's members and supporters are more than 3.8 million of your friends and neighbors. Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet. We’re America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization.
The Sierra Club Washington State Chapter is a team of staff and volunteers working to empower our communities to tackle a broad array of environmental challenges across the state. The work we do ranges from protecting wilderness to fighting climate change; from advocating for clean water for people and fish, to rallying our neighbors to stop new fossil fuel projects in their tracks. We organize diverse activities such as hikes, community rallies and political campaigns to achieve our goals. Join in and help us protect our air, land and water throughout our beautiful state!
