ORGANIZATION: Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) is seeking a transgender man to be a BIG for "Justin" a curious, smart, and outgoing 13 YO boy who makes friends easily and who lives with his wonderful family in the Brighton/Brookline/Newton area. Justin socially transitioned a year ago and is really excited to have a BIG who has experienced their own gender journey. Justin is described as fun, caring, well-adjusted, easygoing, and a good conversationalist. Justin’s interests include soccer, ultimate Frisbee, basketball and running. He writes fan fiction and enjoys drawing and reading. He loves dogs. Justin would like to go hiking, see movies, attend sporting events, and kick a soccer ball around with his BIG. He is really looking forward to 1:1 activities, hanging out with his BIG, and attending JBBBS monthly large group BIG/LITTLE events.

The best fit match would be a trans man between the ages of 22-45 who can understand and support Justin’s identity experience. Someone who shares Justin’s interests, who is positive, grounded, and has a sense of humor. A BIG who is active and enjoys good conversation about a wide range of topics. Matches agree to meet 2x/mo for 2-4 hours, mostly weekends, and make at least a year commitment. Car and valid license required. Volunteers of all religions, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds welcome. Match support provided by Clinical Match Specialists. LGBTQ+ Program includes trainings and meetups. Apply at!
