Project Overview

Help break the vicious cycle of poverty and homelessness by volunteering with the Alameda Point Collaborative (APC). Join APC as they prepare for their spring harvest.

Volunteers will support by tending the land that helps feed the local community. Tasks include planting, harvesting, weeding, food recovery watering, tending soil, and sowing seeds.

About the Alameda Point Collaborative

Alameda Point Collaborative was started about 10 years ago by teens of Alameda Point Collaborative, whose mission is to end homelessness by providing supportive housing. Today, the farm runs both a job training program for APC adults and youth, and a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

• Volunteers are required to wear masks at all times.

• If you have any physical restrictions, please let a staff member at the project know so that accommodations can be made
• Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes, layered clothing, and clothes that can get dirty. Please wear long sleeves and long work pants free of potentially offensive or inappropriate language or themes
• Bring a reusable water bottle
• Please do your part in keeping our community healthy. If you are immuno-compromised, at increased risk for severe illness, or feeling sick at all, please decline your registration to the event and register for a project at a less risky time.
