ORGANIZATION: Jewish Family Services

JFS Housing is in need of volunteers to help assist with the delivery of Hunger Task Force Stock Boxes to residents of Bradley Crossing and Deerwood Crossing Senior Residences. The Stock Boxes will provide the elderly residents of Deerwood Crossing and family residents of Bradley Crossing with nutritious items including cereal, juice, pasta, and fresh fruits and vegetables.

Volunteers will meet in the main parking lot of Bradley Crossing to assist in distributing the boxes to residents' apartments, and then go across the street to Deerwood Crossing to do the same there.

Volunteers must be able to lift and carry upwards of 30 pounds. Closed-toed shoes are required and dressing for the weather is encouraged as volunteers will be outside while loading and unloading the JFS Housing van.

In order to provide a safe environment for volunteers, staff, and clients we welcome volunteers who:

  • Have not experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) or tested positive in the past four weeks.
  • Have not encountered anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past week.

Volunteers are encouraged mask if they so choose. We invite a maximum of 5 volunteers to participate.
