ORGANIZATION: The Giving Room

Image_202205041811

Every week on Thursdays & Fridays, The Giving Room food bank needs committed drivers to pick up food donations from our nearby grocery partners. This is a weekly volunteer job that requires some training, sincere commitment, and reliability. Volunteers interested in food donation pick ups must have their own vehicles, with room to fit around 10 boxes of food, and be able to lift at least 50 lbs in weight. Ideally, we would like volunteers in this role to commit to a minimum of 6 months. We are flexible if you would like to join us on a different commitment schedule (eg, twice a month).

About The Giving Room

Location:

10510 Stone Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133, US

Mission Statement

The Giving Room exists to be God’s extended arms to embrace, build up and provide for our neighborhood in their physical, relational and spiritual needs. We offer food, friendship, prayer, and a door into a safe community.

Description

The Giving Room food bank is a grocery-store-style space where guests can shop for free groceries and personal items. Every week we serve between 40-50 guests in North Seattle. All are welcome.

We seek to engage our neighbors in their physical, spiritual and relational needs. We do this through compassionate acceptance, resource-sharing and food distribution in a safe, non-discriminatory space, motivated by the love of Jesus.

The Giving Room is hosted by Epic Life Church, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
