OVERVIEW:
This is a remote, volunteer position. You will be a social media admin assistant to Dr. Joyce H. Brown, "The Hope Doctor." Dr. Joyce is a world-renowned expert in suicide prevention. Her non-profit, Stress & Grief Relief, Inc. (a 501c3), focuses on fighting traumatic stress and depression, preventing suicide, and giving hope to survivors and all those who think life is not worth living.

CURRENT PROJECTS:
Dr. Joyce recently released her fifth book. She is also developing and launching a new podcast which will include interviews well-known authors, speakers, and other experts around issues of health, nutrition, faith, mindset, and motivation. If you are interested in learning about stress and suicide prevention, and/or author, speaker, influencer marketing and promotion, this work will give you a chance to learn how some of the behind-the-scenes work and tasks come together to make it happen.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
This is a rare opportunity to get first-hand experience working with the President and CEO of a non-profit organization. Due to visual impairment, Dr. Joyce needs assistance with social media (posting messages and replies, interacting with her audiences, and building relationships) daily writing and communication tasks (including writing and sending emails, contacting people through social media, and over the phone). Given her sharp mind and fast pace, but also her heavenly patience and heart for helping others, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is looking to learn more about helping others in tragic situations. This opportunity will be particularly appealing for anyone interested in the helping professions as a career. Given the nature of the business and today's business environment, much of the work centers around contacting and engaging different people and audiences through social media and email. You will not be expected to know how to do these things, as you will be working closely with Dr. Joyce.

SKILLS:

We are looking for an individual who meets most all of following skills and preferences:

  1. You are stable and reliable.
  2. You are friendly, but professional.
  3. You have strong organizational skills.
