Horse Leaders/ Sidewalkers Needed
ORGANIZATION: YELLOW HORSE INC
Please visit the new page to apply.

Yellow Horse is looking for volunteers to fill empty spots in our schedule. We have multiple shifts available throughout the day depending on lessons and needs. We are looking for individuals willing to help with barn chores, help leading and sidewalking for lessons, grooming horses, etc. All volunteers will be trained on site and follow our Standards of Operating Procedures to ensure the safety of not only our volunteers but our participants as well. Many of our volunteers love to come help out and often find the experience therapeutic for themselves as well. We have a position for everyone at yellow horse and welcome all levels of experience.

Mission Statement
To facilitate physical, social, and emotional growth and learning to individuals, families and communities through Equine Assisted Activities and Therapeutic Programs.
Description
Yellow Horse provides therapeutic riding on horseback to children and adults with disabilities and special needs. We work with our riders both mounted (on the horse) and unmounted (off the horse). With 14 horses under our care there is a lot to do on the farm. Our horses are trained to work with a variety of riders. Volunteers lead, sidewalk, groom, and care for our horses on a variety of levels. Yellow Horse strives to include everyone in our community within our program and encourages volunteers to reach out.
