Our volunteer(s) are welcomed in as part of our family and we make direct contact between volunteers, staff members, the kids and the community. A volunteer(s) spare most of the time associating with kids, community and the staff members plus working together as a team to the available works such as teaching kids new language, involving in community activities and taking part in the available work the foundation.

Volunteers shall have access to open source information of about our local way of lives and the local activities who we do them. Alot of knowledge shall be exchanged between the volunteers, community and the staff team.
Volunteer shall learn about our local language, entire culture and other local activities if he or she is interested.

We aimed at developing a community with access to all human basic needs. To create an endless smile to orphans and vulnerable people in our community. To create an educative community. To bridge the gap between local people and volunteers.

Description

Igulu foundation was started in 2018 and fully registered in 2020 with the Ugandan government.
We are found in Uganda East Africa in jinja city formally jinja district at a village called Bujagali which is located along River Nile.
Our goals are
To create a home for the homeless people like the orphans.
To support kids towards their education as a way of creating educative community.
To establish a learning center for those who can not afford to meet school dues.

Our programs.
1. We care for orphans
2. We sponsor kids towards their education
3. Tee empower and support single mothers with some basic needs.
4. We involve in agriculture and empower local Farmers
5. We host volunteers.
6. We do art and crafts.

Our achievement.
We managed to sponsor twenty children towards their education by paying for them school tuition and giving them scholastic materials.
We are able to care for thirty orphans by giving them all their basic needs.
We are able to support twenty single mothers by giving them some basic needs like soap, cloth, food and some seed crop.
We are able to support 10 local farmers by providing them with high quality seeds and gardening tools.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • We need a time management and a commitment volunteers who shall have the love for work which shall lead to the development of the project
  • We request for a volunteer to contribute 10USD per day which is used to cover accommodation, meal expenses and used for the daily running of the project activities
