ORGANIZATION: CHRISTIAN MOTHERS UNION INC

We are looking for a volunteer who is passionate about helping refugees and internally displaced persons where they are currently located in order to prevent them from making various dangerous trips which may end up in the loss of lives, abuse, exploitation and or trafficking.

Currently most families in the Southwest and Northwest regions of Cameroon are experiencing war. This war has brought destructions of property, loss of lives, and created many orphans. Cameroon doesn't currently have a social support system which makes it difficult for woman and children including the elderly to get help. Consequently, they are forced to leave the place they call home, travel by foot to a neighboring country to seek refuge. Today they are in Nigeria, Mexico, and the United States after making treacherous foot journey for months and years.

Your role as a volunteer will help us secure funding to acquire a small center where these refugees and displaced persons can come and get food, clothing, and basic medication. The center will serve as a distribution hub and at the same time a storage where we will sock donated goods.
