VOLUNTEER Grant Writer Description:

Who we are:

We are a new non-profit serving women and girls nationwide. We started as a podcast and have created a unique situation as we already have a great foundation of supporters and followers. We finalized our board of 17 amazing women wanting to contribute more towards their communities and we need a confident, passionate and fun Grant Writer to join our team. This is a volunteer position as we are completely grass-roots and just starting out but do want someone who has experience in the non-profit and/or women empowerment space.

Who you are:

An effective Grant Writer with excellent research and communication skills. Great written and verbal communication, especially in grant proposals. Lastly, as a women & girls non-profit, we would like someone who shares our mission and passion for empowering and helping women.

Duties:

• Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization.
• Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
• Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
• Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval.
• Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
• Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
• Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
