In My Home Hospice Care of Tempe is looking for Pet Therapy Volunteers to join our growing volunteer program. Pet Therapy Volunteers visit with our patients in private homes, group homes, and long-term care facilities across the valley. Pet Therapy handlers require a certification through Pet Partners, American Kennel Club, Alliance of Therapy Dogs, or similar certifying agencies. Pet Teams are required to complete our volunteer orientation and training prior to placement.
Volunteers must be at least18 years of age, complete a background clearance, have a current CPR certification and a negative TB screening. (Such will be at no cost to you and is a part of your application/orientation process).
Pet Therapy Volunteers often visit patients weekly, though schedules are based on your availability.

Mission Statement
In My Home Hospice Care provides an individualized program of physical, emotional. and spiritual and practical care for people in the last phases of a life limiting illness, with and emphasis on pain control and other symptom relief. The program is reflective of spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, and in familiar surroundings. Hospice care is centered on both the patient and family/caregiver. Hospice personnel respect and respond to the unique differences in family/caregiver lifestyle, values and wishes.

The In My Home Hospice Team is committed to providing comfort and dignity through physical, emotional, and spiritual support. As health professionals. We are dedicated to education the community about benefits of hospice care.
