Vision Loss Resources is significantly expanding our Support Group outreach to those with vision loss, low vision and their families. There will be support groups held throughout the metro area. With covid isolating so many of our clients even more than they often isolate themselves, the need to provide positive, safe support has never been greater! If you have a social work background, experience in facilitating meetings, good social, mediation and speaking skills in a small group...we are looking for you! Many of the groups will be in senior living or senior community centers, with some groups serving younger vision loss clients and their families.
This will be a highly rewarding volunteer experience with chances to make a real, direct impact on the lives of those in need...and the need has never been greater. Vision Loss Resources will provide extensive training, tools and support. Volunteers will need to pass a criminal background check.
Contact Vision Loss Resources to learn more about this very rewarding opportunity. 612-843-3419 or volunteer@vlrw.org.
