CSA is in need of volunteers that would be able to assist with Mandarin-speaking clients in making calls to agencies and following up on any needed services (such as phone companies, etc.) or filling out forms where basic information is needed (such as applications for an apartment complex). Any situation where a client just needs simple translation and does not need case management guidance would be a great opportunity for a volunteer to help. In addition, they may be assisting case managers who do not speak Mandarin with translation during a home visit or appointment with the client. The schedule would be extremely flexible and based around volunteer availability but in general would be around one hour a week between the hours of 8-4:30 Mon-Fri.
