The Refugee Youth Project International (RYP) is an after school program located at Patterson High School, Moravia Park Elementary School, and Mount Royal Elementary / Middle School and is facilitated by Baltimore City Community College. RYP seeks to improve the lives of Baltimore’s youngest refugees by supporting their academic needs and making their integration into the Baltimore community less difficult, and more fun!

Volunteers will assist students with developing their English skills, enhancing academic skills by working on homework assignments and other activities, participating in art, science, music, and other extracurricular activities, and aiding in college and career preparation. Students have not had as much one on one contact since the beginning of the pandemic which has impacted their improvement.
