Patient Phone Calls: Volunteer from Home!

Hosparus Health is needing volunteers that would like to make weekly phone calls to patients to make sure that they have all the equipment and medications that they might need for the weekend. Phone calls will need to be made on Wednesday afternoons or on Thursdays. A script for calls will be provided. Volunteers can make phone calls from home and will be given an updated list weekly via online volunteer portal. Volunteers will communicate needs back to Volunteer Manager and VM will contact nurse.

Volunteers are also needed to make phone calls to newly admitted patient to survey them. Volunteers will make these calls on an ongoing basis throughout the week. These calls may also be completed from home. The list of weekly calls will be made available online via volunteer portal. There is a script provided for the survey calls and completed surveys will be turned into office on a monthly basis.

Volunteers will be required to attend training, have the COVID vaccine, and a flu shot to be active November 1 through March 31.

Hosparus Health Barren River serves the following counties: Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, and Warren. Volunteers can live in any of these 10 counties.
