The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is searching for a volunteer to serve as a Program Assistant for our Benefits & Prescription Access Team.

The Benefit and Prescription Access Team works with CSB clients to facilitate access to benefit programs and access to affordable medication. The team also provides follow-up support in close coordination between CSB clients, case manager, support system, and other agencies.

One of the main responsibilities of the team is to facilitate access to medication for our clients through the Prescription Access Program (PAP) and Medicare Part D. Volunteer will provide support during the open enrollment period for:

  • Outreach calls for Medicare Part D assessments
  • Outreach calls for PAP scheduling and screening
  • Data gathering
  • Meeting with clients to obtain signatures for documentation.
Volunteers in this role must have availability weekdays during normal business hours. (No weekend or evening schedule for this opportunity); This role is a mixture of virtual and in-person activities.

Description

When you join our volunteer team, you will receive training, supervision, diverse educational experiences, and opportunities for personal growth. Various positions are available throughout Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The times and days available are flexible and include some evening and weekend opportunities, as well as regular weekday hours. By providing direct service, administrative support, or participating in special projects, volunteers are valuable members of our team.
