Please join us this year by volunteering at the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's (PanCAN) PurpleStride New York City 2023! PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature fundraising walk in the fight to end pancreatic cancer. All funds raised through PurpleStride fuel PanCAN's government advocacy initiatives, groundbreaking clinical research, and free patient services. To learn more about the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, please go to www.PanCAN.org.

We are in need of volunteers for PurpleStride New York City! Come out on Saturday, April 29th and help us with various tasks, including food and beverage distribution, route marshal, registration, and more. This is a fun, empowering community event that is perfect for both individual volunteers and groups. You will be able to sign up for the task and shift of your choice.

More info can be found at www.purplestride.org/newyorkcity. Registration is free!

About Pancreatic Cancer Action Network

Location:

1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to take bold action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer by advancing scientific research, building community, sharing knowledge and advocating for patients.

Description

PanCAN was the first organization dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer in a comprehensive way, and for more than two decades, we’ve grown a nationwide movement tackling the disease from all angles.

  • Research: We fund transformative research - everything from early detection to innovative new treatment approaches.
  • Patient Services: We provide information about treatment options, diet and nutrition, support resources and more, and we can answer all your questions along the way.
  • Advocacy: We work with thousands of grassroots advocates to urge Congress to increase federal research funding for pancreatic cancer, and we get results.
  • Community: Be part of our movement! You can volunteer locally, participate in a PurpleStride community event or host your own fundraiser.
