Volunteer as a part-time Marketing Director Position Description

We are looking for a volunteer to assist Hope Floats as our Marketing Director who will be in charge of leading our Hope Floats marketing efforts. To be successful, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company's brands and cooperatives. You will also be working closely with our cooperative team to develop strategies that will help us maximize profits for our value-added wood products.

To be considered for this hands-on position, you will need to have or be willing to learn marketing or communications skillsets.

Marketing Director Responsibilities:

• Overseeing marketing while working closely with Events Manager and Board Members.
• Evaluating and developing our marketing strategy and marketing plan.
• Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts.
• Communicating the marketing plan.
• Researching demand for Hope Float's products and services. (as needed)
• Competitor research (as needed).
• Working with the sales department to develop strategies to maximize profits while balancing customer satisfaction.
• Identifying potential customers.
• Developing promotions with the Events Manager.
• Compiling lists describing our offerings.
• Developing and managing advertising campaigns.
• Building brand awareness and positioning.
• Supporting sales and lead generation efforts.
• Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish.
• Organizing company conferences, trade shows, and significant events with the Events Manager.
• Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing.

• Experience in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
• Experience in marketing and running a marketing system.
• Proven marketing campaign experience.
• Practical time management skills and the ability to multitask.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proven ability.
• Professional and proactive work ethic.
• High competence in project and stakeholder management.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
• Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
