We need mostly Dungeon Masters to volunteer to run games at FanX 2022. We also need other volunteers to help run the floor, run the charity raffle, and to help set up and take down. Dungeon Masters will be scheduled in shifts, and all the other volunteer categories have their own times. We give plenty of time to enjoy the con, and you get free tickets to the event. We have so much fun on the floor, and it's been a blast every year. All the proceeds go to our foundation.

Types of Volunteers Needed

Set Up/Take Down Crew (You set up BEFORE the event, take down after, and enjoy the entire event in between.)

Lunch is included every day, and we have water and snack available. We are also the ONLY chairs and tables in the con.

About FOUNDATION FOR THE PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE

Location:

Mission Statement

As a society, we generally address violence in one way: by reacting to it. We follow it on the news, discuss it at work, and listen to endless debates about policy--until the next incident occurs and the cycle starts over again. But there’s only one way to actually stop the cycle--we must prevent the violent behaviors that start it. Fortunately, this is not as impossible as it sounds. The Foundation for the Prevention of Violence (FPV) worked with retired F.B.I. profiler Greg Cooper to create programs, protocols, and assessments designed to increase school safety, reinforce workplace security, and teach both communities and individuals how to keep themselves and their loved ones safe. With these programs, we can do more than just react to violence--we can prevent it from happening in the first place.

Description

We are a violence prevention organization that has three main programs.

Deva School Security

We help keep schools safe by providing a 360 security layout, including a full risk assessment, optimized safety drills, staff training, and changes to curriculum.

Mage Fire Gaming

Our Mage Fire Gaming program is designed to identify and reform potential violent behaviors in adolescents-all through engaging, therapeutic tabletop games.

Self-Defense Training

We teach hand-to-hand defense along with behavioral profiling, criminology, and victimology to give you the tools you need to stay safe on a day-to-day basis.
