UC Davis Hospice provides bereavement group support for the loved ones of those who have received hospice services and for any member of the community who is grieving the loss of a loved one. Bereavement support is offered free of charge to the community and is offered at various times throughout the year.
UC Davis Hospice offers the following 6-week groups:
General Adult
Young Adult
Parent
We are seeking an MSW, LCSW, or MFT to co-facilitate 1-2 groups per year.. Groups are typically held on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings for 1.5 hours.

Mission Statement
For over 35 years, UC Davis Hospice Program provides care for terminally ill patients. It is not a place, but rather an approach to health care emphasizing symptom management while helping patients and families to cope with psychosocial and spiritual issues which accompany the dying process.
Description
Hospice care is provided by physician-directed teams of nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplains, therapists, volunteers, and bereavement coordinators who are sensitive to the local population's cultural and lifestyle diversity. Volunteers become an important part of the team, with the ability to attend rounds and care for patients as well as their families.

- We are seeking a volunteer to co-facilitate 1-2 six week groups per year. Groups meet 1.5 hours per week. Groups are currently virtual due to COVID, but the hope is to return to in-person groups when safe.
