Do you want to make a difference in the community when disaster strikes? Then becoming an American Red Cross Shelter Volunteer is right for you!

Disasters can happen at any time, so It’s critical to have a trained and ready volunteer workforce to make sure we can provide comfort and support to anyone who needs it after a disaster.

The Red Cross has a special need right now for compassionate individuals willing to train as shelter volunteers in the event they are needed for 'no notice events' such as tornados or large fires and to help us prepare and be ready to respond during hurricane season - which for all of us here in South Florida is always right around the corner!
