Recruiting Organization: Long-term Care Ombudsman Program - Ohio Region 5
As an Ombudsman Volunteer in a nursing or assisted living home IN YOUR AREA, you will advocate for and empowering individuals who received long-term care (LTC) services. We are able to reach far more individuals with your help!
You will visit about four hours a month on your schedule with individuals who reside in LTC settings in your area as you make them aware of their rights, assist in resolving uncomplicated complaints, and be a voice for those who are unable to make their voices heard, to enhance the quality of life of nursing and assisted living residents. Training and on-going support will be provided to prepare you to help as you are comfortable.
As an Ombudsman Associate (volunteer) you are critical to the success of the Ombudsman program. You will often be the first contact most older adults and families will have with the program. Your regular visits help residents feel more secure about their rights and quality of life.
We look forward to talking with you!
