Purpose: The Fundraising Coordinator plays an instrumental role in raising funds for local Special Olympics athletes and programs by pursuing fundraising opportunities and managing current fundraising initiatives.
Primary Duties:
- Fundraising Plan: implement the annual SOMT Chevy Truck Raffle and ongoing events, while recruiting and maintaining local business relationships.
- Administration: Maintain sponsor relationships and an Area list of donors and sponsors.
- Meetings: Provide progress reports on Area Fundraising vs. Annual Plan at seasonal meetings.
Experience/KNOWLEDGE: Good organization and record-keeping skills. The capacity to engage others in the planning and process of fundraising. Ability to supervise and effectively delegate to other volunteers. The ability to communicate openly and in a timely manner. Must complete Class A volunteer application and screening process through Special Olympics Montana.
TRAINING PROVIDED: New coordinator orientation and position-specific training provided by Special Olympics Montana staff. Ongoing training provided annually.
