We need someone who can use Google Earth or a similar tool to develop a map of a 34-mile long creek for use as part of an interpretive sign. A hand-drawn map is an option. A topographic perspective view of the creek might be best but we are open to other ideas. The map would need to include existing bridges, some major roadways, and labels for natural and anthropogenic features along the creek like dams, cascades, water diversions, spawning areas, and town names, etc. We will provide draft text to go with the map. We have a spreadsheet that gives the GPS coordinates for many features along the creek. We have some maps of the creek already like an enlarged version of a AAA street map, but none of them are suitable for an interpretive sign. After we have the map on paper or electronically, we will have it printed on durable weather-proof materials. It will then be installed on a wood and metal frame next to a popular trail along the creek. The sign will be supported by strong posts so it will be at a comfortable reading level for passersby, and also viewable by children and people in wheelchairs. The sign itself will probably be about 3 feet wide and 2 feet tall.
