This volunteer position is responsible for assisting ReStore in assembling furniture from our new donors
"Simpli Home." We are looking for someone who loves working with their hands, problem-solving and
enjoys watching a product go from pieces into perfection!
DUTIES:
- Evaluating furniture to make sure all parts are included
- Assembling and moving furniture donated from Simpli Home. New donations delivered on a bi-weekly basis.
- Putting items in garbage that are not useable
- Looking up comps for products that are fully assembled
- Must commit to at least one weekly shift, the same day each week for a minimum of 6 months
- Must pass a background check, complete an online orientation, and attend a New Volunteer Training shift.
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (booster not required)
This volunteer role operates in an open warehouse environment. This role is very active and requires
standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The volunteer will frequently lift, move
and/or load large furniture items.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS:
All shifts are flexible between the times of 10am to 2pm Monday-Friday and will take place at 12413 NE

Description
Habitat for Humanity Portland Region serves Multnomah County, east Washington County, and northern Clackamas County and has the ability to reach out to families one step away from homelessness. Habitat sells homes to hardworking people in need of decent, affordable housing. We are an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-denominational Christian housing ministry and global home-building movement. We welcome people from all walks of life to partner with our program to serve families in need with generosity, humility, and love.
