Become a foster volunteer with Pet Network Humane Society!
Pet Network Humane Society works to save the lives of as many animals as possible. A crucial piece of this goal is our foster program. Foster volunteers temporarily house animals in their own homes and provide care to those animals.
We are looking for individuals interested in fostering dogs, cats, kittens and puppies. Pet Network provides all necessary supplies and medical care while animals are in foster care.
Animals can go into foster care for many reasonings, including:
- They are too young for adoption
- They are nursing a litter
- They are in recovery from an illness or surgery
- They need a break from the shelter
- They have workable behavior needs

Pet Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in the heart of Incline Village serving Western Nevada and the Lake Tahoe area. We take a community approach to rescuing and placing unwanted animals as well as providing a wide variety of programs to serve people and their pets. Pet Network is a recognized leader in animal rescue, adoption, and education. Through compassion, respect, and responsibility we provide professional programs and services that benefit animals and people in our community. - Must be at least 18
- Fostering an animal is full-time while they are in your care. Animals may be placed in foster care until they are adopted.
- Foster volunteers must be able to transport themselves to and from our brick and mortar location for pick up and drop off of animals.
