The Mazie Mentoring Program in Marlborough, Framingham, and Waltham is looking for new mentors! We recruit and train adult volunteers to Mentor and act as role models for high school students at-risk of not achieving their potential in school and beyond. The mentors provide their mentee with the support they need to take control of their lives, set and achieve goals, prepare to apply to college or other post-secondary training, and achieve success.
As a mentor, your responsibilities to your mentee include guiding their personal development, developing their interests, and exposing them to culture. It also includes providing support for their academic pursuits, assisting them in the college preparation process, and introducing them to the world of careers and jobs. A Mentor commits to spend an average of 4-5 hours per month in face-to-face activities with their mentee, for a minimum of 1 year.
We are recruiting mentors! If you are interested in becoming a mentor and making a difference in a teen’s life, please email Steven McIntosh at steven.mcintosh@bbbscm.org or call at 508-868-0570. More information on the program can be found at https://bbbscm.org/mazie-mentoring-program/mazie.orgMore opportunities with JOHN ANDREW MAZIE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
