The Rock Springs Ground Squirrels Vintage Base Ball Club is recruiting new players for the upcoming season! In vintage base ball, winning is secondary. It’s about friendship, having fun, and showing people how base ball was played in the 1860s. You don’t even have to be an amazing player to join the team, you only need to enjoy the game. This volunteer opportunity is for guys and gals ages 16 and up. Volunteers must be willing to travel to away games. Games are typically held two Saturdays a month, with a few Sunday games scattered throughout the season. Description
Every year, hundreds of volunteers make an invaluable contribution to the operation of our conservation areas and historic sites. Whether greeting visitors, helping restore natural areas, assisting with programs, interrupting history, or monitoring our trails, our volunteers help the Conservation District serve the residents of Macon County.

There are more than 3,700 acres of natural areas and hundreds of school programs, special events, and workshop presentations at the Macon County Conservation District in Decatur, Illinois. Indoor and outdoor volunteer opportunities are available year-round in our many Conservation areas.
Volunteers are essential to the Conservation District and our mission. We invite you to join our volunteer team!
