Position
The WFP Community Outreach Manager is to establish and nurture working relationships with organizations whose constituents may benefit from the services WFP provides to parents. The following responsibilities are as follows:
- Partnership Development Research and identify appropriate partnerships that will lead to long term sustainable relationships within communities
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local economic development and workforce agencies, religious organizations, community centers, and non-profit organizations serving parents or that are aligned with the WFP mission
- Create and implement an annual outreach plan
Management and Coordination
- Manage virtual events related to partnership and community recruitment
- Ensure effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of program events and activities
- Plan and implement formal and informal partner recognitions
Interdepartmental Collaboration
- Collaborate with the CEO, Operations, and Programming teams to determine the needs for partnerships
- Share impactful partnership stories with the communications team
Create Program Reports
- The community outreach manager will collect data and use the data to create reports, and distribute those reports to key personnel in the organization who manage grants.
Qualifications
This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about Working for Parents, Inc.’s mission. The selected Community Outreach Manager will have networks within the business, community, government, philanthropy, social services, or the nonprofit sector.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Extensive professional experience with significant or close network/relationship within the business, community, government, philanthropy, social services, or the nonprofit sector.
- A commitment to and understanding of Working for Parents, Inc.’s beneficiaries, preferably based on experience
- Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for improving the lives of Working for Parents, Inc.’s beneficiaries
This is solely a volunteer opportunity. As the organization grows there will be an opportunity for the Community Outreach Manager to receive compensation.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 Orientation or Training - Open- The program manager is expected to work with the Founding CEO to come up with a schedule that works for the training manager and program participants. appx 1-10 hrs a week depending on the project
- We are a start-up organization. This is a remote job. Laptop and Internet is a requirement to be able to perform this job. Familiarity with using Gmail, social media, and spreadsheets required.
