Are you an Ohio Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, looking for the opportunity to use your training as a Mental Health Recovery Specialist? We understand. During these times of uncertainty, finding the right place to serve can be draining especially if your greatest fear is losing your certification which you worked so hard to receive. Removing the Stigma is seeking an Ohio Certified Mental Health Recovery Specialist to Volunteer in our faith-based and secular Women's mental wellness groups. You will not only get the opportunity to support your peers- but teach them and walk alongside them. Removing The Stigma has developed its own unique program and it has been proven successful, over and over again. If this sounds like you. This may be the opportunity you need to move forward!

To educate, empower, cultivate hope, and promote mental and emotional wellness, while removing the stigma associated with mental illness and suicide.
Description
Removing The Stigma (RTS) is a grassroots non-profit organization founded by Denise Holcomb in 2015. RTS focuses on mental illness and suicide prevention awareness. The mission of RTS is to educate and bring awareness to the African American community about mental illness and introduce the concepts and foundations of suicide prevention and awareness. We collaborate with other similar organizations to offer:
- Support Groups for caregivers who care for individuals with mental illness
- Training on mental and emotional health and suicide prevention
- Faith-based Mental and Emotional Wellness Groups for Men and Women
- We developed a web-based platform on the RTS website which mainly houses resources for the community.
