Compassionate Contact Corp Volunteers Needed for Veterans

The Center for Development & Civic Engagement at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center is looking for individuals to join our virtual volunteer workforce in order to support Veterans through virtual wellness checks.

Volunteers are paired with a Veteran in need who has been referred to our department. Volunteers may be assigned to 1-3 Veterans and make virtual telephone calls to each week or even bi-weekly. The goal of the program is so support the Veteran, listen to their needs, inquire about food insecurity, but ultimately it's to create a relationship with the Veteran to minimize their loneliness during this time of COVID.

We do provide additional training, scripts, handbooks, etc. for your success.
