The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center is looking for volunteers to support a unique program through storytelling. Volunteers are needed for the My Life, My Story program where they are trained how to interview Veterans and write their story in the first person (800-1,000 words). Once the story is reviewed and approved by the Veteran, it is uploaded to their patient record which will help strengthen the relationship between patient and provider. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know Veterans and hear their amazing stories which includes their military careers, family life, education, struggles, goals, and much more.

We offer training for this program and support you every step of the way.

Our goal is to have 50 stories written a year.

Will you be the next volunteer to write our Veterans' stories?

Note: This is a great opportunity for a short-term/episodic volunteer experience while giving back to our Veterans. It can also be done on-site at our hospital.
