We are in need of bilingual volunteers to assist our Spanish speaking patients in the following areas:

  • Round on patients as a Bedside Buddies/Friendly Ambassador to serve as a companion to prevent isolation
  • Transportation in a wheelchair to the curb to meet with caregivers in their vehicle after discharge
  • Provide a compassionate presence and listening, empathetic ear

All volunteers are mandated to have a vaccination and booster for Covid-19 protocols and must wear a mask at all times upon entry! Volunteers are required to have a flu shot and meet or exceed the following medical requirements: measles, mumps, rubella (two doses or +Titres), varicella (chickenpox) (two doses, +Titre or MD document of childhood disease), 2 step PPD or IGRA (within past 1 month)
