ORGANIZATION: Ready Set Ride Therapeutic Riding Facility for Special Needs Children

  • 19 people are interested

Ready Set Ride is in need of volunteers to help with our lesson program in the Spring! These volunteers would ideally be able to assist with a lesson every week for a 7-week session. Our lesson volunteers are vital in our program, and are great for people who love to work with our horses and riders, but aren't sure about barn chores. You can participate as a sidewalker (walks on either side of the horse during lesson and assists with rider stability), a leader (leads the horse), or even a groom to help us tack/untack before and after the lesson. For any position, we will have a training to show you what to do, so no previous experience is necessary!

See below for specific session dates, and contact us if on of the time lots works for you!

  • We would really love to have volunteers who can sign up for the entire 7 week series for a certain slot! The riders get used to seeing the same volunteers and helps with their confidence during lessons to have the same team.
