Some of the common services provided by volunteers include:

  • Support services and companionship (reading with the patient, playing music, bedside presence)
  • Caregiver respite
  • Write letters; legacy work
  • Support community events (health fairs, outreach)
  • Sharing hobbies and special interests
  • Assisting with errands such as grocery shopping
  • Homemaking tasks (dishes/laundry) and light meal preparation
  • Veteran patients paired with those who have served in the military
We also welcome professional volunteers who hold a license (ex: therapy dogs, massage therapists, licensed nurses). Must be 16 and older to volunteer and 18 or older to volunteer directly in the home.
