Over 6 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer's disease or another dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association is looking for passionate Marketing and Outreach volunteers to serve on the planning committee for the 2022-2023 Yuba City to End Alzheimer's.
The M&O Subcommittee is responsible for creating awareness of the disease through the promotion of Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
- Build public awareness of Walk through local media outlets and social media
- Deliver brochures and posters to local businesses and community spaces
- Seek and seize creative, grassroots marketing opportunities
Personal Attributes : knowledge of local media outlets, excellent oral and written communication and creative thinking skills.
- Engaging with local businesses to support the event
- Coaching past participants
- Recruiting new teams
- Marketing the event through local communication channels
- Recognizing VIP donors and fundraisers
- Overseeing event logistics and coordinating day-of event volunteers

Description
We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Outside the federal government, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change.
At the Alzheimer's Association, diversity and inclusion are vital to our mission. The Association leads strategic initiatives to support diversity and a culture of inclusivity. These strategic initiatives also strengthen outreach to all populations, providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis.
