Seasonal (May-August) Wildlife Care Center Volunteer
ORGANIZATION: Idealist.org
Please visit the new page to apply.
Recruiting Organization: Portland Audubon
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Portland Audubon Wildlife Care Center! They work alongside staff in various roles to help provide care and support to over 5,000 wild animals per year. Our Wildlife Care Center (WCC) volunteers learn about wildlife rehabilitation while supporting wildlife care and educating the public about our conservation mission.
We are getting ready for our busiest season- Baby Bird Season! From May to August we bring on additional Care Center volunteers. We have many roles to fill- some are very active, some are seated, some indoors, some outdoors, some onsite and some off site. All require at least a once a week 4 hours commitment (same day same time) from May 1 to the end of August.
