ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Assists IT staff by installing, configuring, and setting computers, monitors, printers, and peripherals.


Operates a personal computer (PC) and performs limited data entry, editing, program execution, and data and/or file retrieval.


Provides computer software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, updates, and repairs to NPS standard software.


Provides computer hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting, updates, and repairs to NPS standard hardware.


Assists IT Specialists in multiple IT projects related to the installation and configuration of hardware, software, network, and telephony systems.


Assists in the installation, upgrade, troubleshooting, and testing of new or upgraded DOI/NPS IT systems.


Assists IT Specialists with the removal of hard drives and excessing computer equipment.


Assists with the management of the NPS Helpdesk system in creating, assigning, updating, closing, etc. of help requests submitted by users.


Assists with documentation of computer inventory records.
