Are you looking for a fulfilling way to give back to your community and help those facing hardships? The Salvation Army is seeking dedicated volunteers like you to be part of our incredible food distribution initiative, which feeds approximately 250 families each week. Every Tuesday, we pack bags of perishable items and distribute them to the local families who rely on our assistance. Food packing is from 10am until about 1pm. Then, between 2pm-4pm, we get to bless the families by distributing the bags to them. As a volunteer, you'll be at the forefront of our efforts to combat hunger and ensure that families in need receive the nourishment they deserve!

Description

The Salvation Army of Chico needs volunteers to help with weekly food distribution on Tuesdays from 11-1 to pack food bags or from 2-4 to help with drive-thru food distribution. Ongoing volunteer opportunities also include childcare, gardening, light housekeeping, and organization.
