Mission: AADAP exists to change lives and save families adversely impacted by substance abuse. It provides the diverse and multi-ethnic communities of Los Angeles a comprehensive "whole person" approach in its education, intervention, treatment, outreach, advocacy, and employment programs. AADAP distinguishes itself by embodying the Hawaiian concept of "Ohana," meaning "family." Each individual who joins AADAP joins a Family bound together by its values of compassion, responsibility, and respect.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: We are looking for experienced grant writers/fundraisers/networkers who can research and identify funding, as well as develop, write and submit proposals, letters, reports and other materials as necessary to secure grant support from foundations, corporations and government funding sources. The pro bono grant writer we are looking for will have excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills. The volunteer will:
Investigate and identify prospective funding sources.
Research, develop, and write inquiries, letters, and other fundraising documents.
Draft compelling grant proposal narratives and other correspondence to solicit grant funds.
Track and monitor proposals, their deadlines, and requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in philanthropy and non-profit organizations, a plus
Proven experience as a non-profit grant writer, a big plus
Working knowledge of MS Office
Demonstrated strong planning, communication, and organizational skills
Excellent writing, grammar, and research skills.
Time Commitment: Flexible hours to be determined each week until the completion of the project, remote volunteer role, volunteers will need to be mindful of deadlines.

The Mission of the Asian American Drug Abuse Program, Inc. (AADAP) is to change lives and save families, by providing comprehensive substance abuse and other social services for Asian Pacific Islander and other diverse communities. Core programs include education, prevention, intervention, treatment, employment, advocacy, outreach and economic development.
Description
AADAP provides comprehensive substance abuse services to low-income and under-served communities. We are looking for volunteers to help with our fundraising events, particularly a benefit concert. We are in need of individuals who love to help out and/or might have experience in these kinds of events.
We also have many other volunteer opportunities through our programs, which include: youth services, after-school mentoring, community prevention and intervention, anti-gang services, family-centered programs, outpatient and inpatient substance abuse treatment, and employment.
As of 11/2021, they're seeking a pro bono HR volunteer.
