Paws for Reflection Ranch is looking for volunteers to help on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. These volunteers provide basic care and socialization activities for the 2 therapy goats who are housed outdoors in a penned area. Volunteering activities will be weather dependent. Interested individuals will need to attend a Volunteer Tour and complete the Volunteer Application Packet (including a background check). Volunteers must be 16 years or older, be comfortable in most weather conditions, able to walk, stand, bend, and lift 10-15 lbs. The goats may have 1-2 volunteers per day working together for a schedule of recurring day(s) for a period of 6 or more weeks. During the COVID pandemic volunteers are encouraged to wear masks during all indoor activities and follow CDC guidelines.

About Paws For Reflection Ranch



Mission Statement

‚ÄčTo provide a healing, educational, motivational, and recreational environment utilizing equine and other animal assisted therapies and experiences to enhance the quality of life for all clients, and to provide a loving home, whether temporary or permanent, for animals that meet a specific criteria.


Paws for Reflection Ranch is a Texas 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation on 15 acres in Midlothian which partners with animals in the healing process along side counselors, educators, and horse professionals. The animal partners include horses, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, rabbits, chinchillas, hedgehogs, a tortoise, and a parrot. Volunteers are an essential part of the Paws for Reflection Ranch team. Volunteers help take care of the animals, assist with program activities and/or events for individuals with special needs. Paws for Reflection Ranch is open Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
