At Bella Care Hospice we are passionate about bringing dignity to our patients and helping them to feel special. We are looking for volunteers with cosmetology or barber skills to join in that vision. Would you be willing to pamper our patients and help them feel their best?
All our patient care volunteers are allowed to paint finger nails and apply simple skin care products to patients’ hands; a cosmetologist license is required to do anything beyond this. We are hoping to find volunteers with a barber license to cut and style our patients’ hair or those with a cosmetologist license to also do manicures, skin treatments, or apply cosmetics.
Cosmetologist/barber volunteers would meet one on one with our patients in a nursing facility or their homes. No prior medical experience is required, basic hospice training will be provided. Most of our patients are home bound and can’t treat themselves to a barber or beautician. Many, because of their physical condition, can no longer care for their own personal grooming. Your skills can bring joy and comfort to someone’s last days!

Help with administration in one of our 5 offices or visit patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and patient homes across 25 counties in Ohio. Volunteers can do a variety of activities with patients such as reading, listening, hand holding, praying, painting their fingernails, doing crafts, singing, brushing their hair, pet therapy, massage therapy and more!
