Lehigh Carbon Community College- Center for Career Pathways are looking for volunteers interested in tutoring English as a Second Language (ESL) adult students. Tutoring happens in-person or virtually for a min. of 3 hours per week. Days of the week and times are flexible based on schedule of both the tutor and the student. Tutoring includes working with students on reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Materials provided.

Tutors must have their Bachelor's degree in any field and will need to complete clearances and a tutor orientation. Pennsylvania residents preferred.

Description

Career Pathaways is a free program that offers a sequence in educational curriculum designed to help students along the path to a career in a high priority occupation. The curriculum is based on the needs of industries in the Lehigh Valley and is work focused. We offer both day and evenign clases to students looking to obtain their GED plus there are classes for English language learners as well.
