In this role, you will be responsible for designing web pages, brochures, signs, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials. Creating these materials by hand or by using technology, including computer software programs. You will participate in the monthly Marketing Committee to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like. Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
Responsibilities for Graphic Designer
- Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral
- Designing web pages, brochures, signs, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials.
- Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
- Creating these materials by hand or by using technology, including computer software programs
- Establish creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
- Perform retouching and manipulation of images
- Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
- Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
- Select type size and style to enhance the readability of text and image.
- Produce drafts for review by clients and make revisions based on the feedback received.
- Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect specifications.
Qualifications for Graphic Designer
- Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
- Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent eye for detail
This role is 100% virtual, which keeps everyone safe during COVID-19. We utilize online streaming services (Zoom, Skype) and Google Drive for file share. All hours volunteered can be flexible to fit within your schedule.
