St. Mary Medical Center's Low Vision department's Vision Screening Program has been in existence for over 20 years. We are looking for women that would be interested in helping. You and your fellow volunteer Low Vision Screeners will be instrumental in helping to provide accurate vision evaluations to the children of the greater Long Beach area schools thereby creating a healthier community. Training is provided.
Our volunteers provide the screenings as a group on Tuesdays and/or Wednesday mornings. You can make new friends while helping our community.

Description
Our Low Vision department is looking for Vision Screeners to join in providing vision screening to students in Long Beach and the surrounding cities. Training is provided for equipment set up and use. This is a weekly commitment of about 4 hours.
At St. Mary Medical Center, the Low Vision Center School Vision Screening Program has been in existence for over 20 years. As a volunteer for this position, you will be instrumental in helping to provide accurate vision evaluations to the children of the greater Long Beach area schools thereby creating a healthier community.

- Orientation or Training
- Currently this occurs weekly in the mornings on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. Our volunteer program has a minimum of 100 hour commitment - roughly 6 months.
- Women that would enjoy interacting with school age children and working as a group with other LVS volunteers. You should have reliable transportation, good vision and able to help set up.
