The Longest Day

ALASKANS - we are looking for your support in our fight to end Alzheimer's Disease and all other Dementias! The Alzheimer's Association is looking for 2-5 Alaskans to join our Volunteer Marketing & Outreach Committee for The Longest Day (TLD). On Summer Solstice, June 22nd we ask people to do something they love to do and turn it into a fundraiser to raise funds for research. Training starts in February!

We are in need of persons in ALASKA to help us move forward with our mission! It would be greatly appreciated if you would forward this to your Alaska contacts who may be interested in this opportunity!

Volunteer Role
: The volunteer's role in Alaska is sharing our Marketing materials, helping us develop further ideas for outreach and new marketing materials, and phone calls to participants.

Ideal candidate: This is a great position for a person connected to our cause to network in their community, or for a high school or college student interested in developing Marketing & Outreach skills with a nationally recognized association. We are the 3rd largest research funder in the world for Alzheimer's research! (only behind the US and China governments).

Staff support: You will have an Alzheimer's Association staff partner supporting you and this is a very flexible volunteer position. We are happy to tailor your volunteer experience around your interests and schedule.

Monthly commitment: Approximately 2-3 hours per month. This will vary depending on the month, and as mentioned above, our staff partner is very flexible with what works for you.
